New Tour Packages
Tour groups and individuals can participate in several periodic including: Chimpanzee Habituation Experience (CHEX), mangoose project, interventions, birding as well as animal counts (species specific or general)
Both student and non-student researchers are welcome to do their research in protected areas as well as specimen collection of live specimens, derivatives (such as, plant parts, blood samples, animal dung, skin and nails…..and so much more!)
Short and long term filming are accepted. Some of the movies that have been short here include: “Gorillas in the Mist,” a film, tells a true-life story of a naturalist, Dian Fossey’s study of mountain gorillas in Africa as well as her great effort to protect the endangered apes and was nominated for 5 Academy Awards! The only remaining population of endangered mountain gorillas lives in an ecosystem shared by Uganda, Rwanda and Democratic Republic of Congo.
“The Last King of Scotland” a film portraying the life of the dictatorial president Idd Amin Dada; was specifically shot in Uganda, winning Forest Whitaker an Oscar (Academy) Award. You too can shoot your award winning movie even in Uganda’s protected areas!
Still photography for commercial use
Take the best shots amidst nature in Uganda’s evergreen ecosystems and all protected areas; for travel magazines, media, casting agencies and other commercial purposes. Nature photographers will shoot pictures of a diversity of flora and fauna; landscapes, waterfalls and so much more!
